The hotel is in one of the Heidelberg tourist attractions - the oldest private house in Heidelberg. Located in the heart of the old town. Even though the hotel is located in the pedestrian area, you may drive up to the hotel to unload your luggage and the hotel staff will assist you with parking. Discounted local parking is offered. The hotel itself is located slightly outside of the centre of town in Handschuhsheim, but is only a 10 minute bus or tram ride to the centre (Bismarckplatz). If you're driving, you'll park your car when you arrive and not use your car again until you depart. The hotel has a lovely traditional feel.

Very pleasant 3 star hotel. Lovely rooms, all with private bathroom, cable TV, hair dryer, etc . Offers very nice breakfast buffet and bistro evening meals. Located conveniently close to the Hauptbahnhof (main train station). A fifteen minute walk or short tram ride into the centre. Beer garden in the summer!

Interestingly, one member of the e-heidelberg.com staff stayed at the Hotel Central for three months when they first arrived in Heidelberg (the company they were working for paid!). They had a pleasant stay and made friends with some of the staff.

For people with valid Youth Hostel Identity Cards. Cheap. Located outside the centre, near Schwimmbad. You'll need to get the 33 bus from the Haupbahnhof - signs at the Hauptbahnhof indicate which direction you need to go. Expect to pay € 11 for juniors and € 14 for seniors.

Located away from the centre - you'll need to get a bus into town - but probably the cheapest accommodation in Heidelberg.

Located around 4.5 Km to the east of Heidelberg, on the river Neckar. Expect to pay € 4 per site, € 3.50 per person. To get there take the number 35 bus from Bismarckplatz and get off at Orthopadische Klinik. The camp site is open from around Easter time to October.

If the weather is good, this is a lovely location to camp!
